Start the search for a healthier you in the right place
Changing your life is never easy.
The last thing you need to hear when you're struggling to control your weight or add definition to your body is someone you've never even met preaching at you.
Especially when you've probably tried a gazillion diets and/or workout programs, have spent a heap-load of cash in the process and are already beating yourself up about what you're doing wrong.
Well let me put you straight: there'll be no Sergeant-Major-type dressing down from me. Well, at least not yet.
Furthermore, I'm not even going to give you the third degree that some sites literally demand you sit through, like:
I honestly don't care how you've found my website; now that you're here, I want to help you.
My guess would be that you've searched Google for an abs workout program, abs training solutions, diet and exercise program for recovery or a workout & diet combination - something along those lines.
If that's the case, you're already on the right path to a new, vibrant you.
How am I on the right track - I've not done anything?
I beg to differ. You've already recognised that:
You may have tried to lose weight or get fit before and either failed completely or, more likely, saw initial results but then slipped back into your old ways.
This could have been for innumerable reasons* and, unless there was an underlying medical condition that endangers you with taking up exercise now, I don't care what you think you've learned in the past.
I do care that you succeed now, which will probably mean you having to forget most everything you think you know about abs workouts and nutritious diets. Seriously.
Whatever your intentions this time, please accept this one fact: in order to change your life, the transformation you must go through is, by definition, life-changing!
Getting and staying fit is no different. The habits that have got you here have got to go. Now!
Strong mental attitude is the key to fitness success
*Knowing and accepting that as fact and now actively motivating yourself to embrace the concept is the only mentality you can adopt if you genuinely hope to succeed and achieve your weight-loss and fitness goals.
That's where I come in.
I've built my body up both as an athlete and I've had to do it all over again after failed surgery left me in the lurch for two years.
You need the right mindset, an easy-to-follow workout template, support and a 100% natural diet - that's it!One of the key reasons 'diets' fail is because attempting a challenge of this magnitude on your own can simply seem too daunting.
Where do you begin to get honed and lose weight?
A lot of the well-rated programs are mega-expensive and others are so scientifically overwhelming, hence difficult to follow, that they put you off before you've even dusted your trainers off.
The minute you start losing focus and motivation is the moment that your weight loss plans, critical to achieving that ripped six-pack look, start to unravel before your eyes.
Furthermore, what you've spent weeks developing can be undone in days, hours even.
In the wee small hours (when you think that no-one is watching) that little horned devil perches itself on your shoulder and whispers: "one little nibble won't matter!"
To a certain extent, that's true. Once you get your metabolism firing on all cylinders, the occasional little slip up is not a problem.
Contrary to what you've probably been taught in the past, mixing a 90% healthy, nutritious diet with a 'cheat day' is in fact actively encouraged.
No, I didn't believe it either, at least not until I started putting my original workout program from before the catastrophic operation I went through (see the about me bit) back together.
Thinking has changes slightly and I needed a less gruesome workout regime than before. My first task, however, was to ramp up Mr Metabolism again.
He'd served me well, but after two years of no exercise, he'd definitely got used to putting his feet up and that once full chest was turning into moobs - I was having none of that.
If we cave in at the first sign of temptation, so easy to do after a long lay-off from fitness, that path becomes easier and easier to take.
It's a road to nowhere, no matter how much exercise you think you can put in to 'make up for it'.
You'll either continue sneaking midnight snacks until you get caught, and end up actually hoping to be caught, or give in (blaming the diet or ab workouts) because your weight's once again heading in the wrong direction, with not a single muscle in sight.
I can't promise to be there when temptation perches itself on your pillowcase.
But what I can offer is access to the mindset that will make a six-pack not just possible, but probable.

However, with the help of one of the most simplified diet and fitness manuals to hit the digital shelves in recent times, I hope to plant the seeds that will help to keep temptation at arm's length when it tries to ambush you.
Even better, when that l'il ole devil does come a-calling, I hope to have you more equipped than ever to tell him, "Get ye behind me, Satan!" and mean it.
I'll say no more here, other than this. It's quite uncanny that someone else - for totally differing reasons - developed a program so unwittingly similar to the one I'd been developing it negated the purpose of me recreating mine.
The theories that changed my life have all been summarised quite succinctly in a new ebook by Martin Smith. And to be fair, his knowledge of putting it all together as a complete package far outweighs anything I could have achieved.
He was taught a simplified, but potent, abs workout program whilst at an all-time low on holiday.
Upon returning home he adapted it with research of his own to quantify certain aspects, develop and tweak others and has since turned it into the hugely successful The Definition Method.
Many of the principles mirror steps that have seen me start to roll back the years through targeted abs and all-over body workouts.
I know they work because I live them and am walking, talking proof that people with limited mobility can obtain a body to be proud of.
Some of the more dubious 'stories' I've read on the subject of diet and exercise of late cost a fortune and are, quite honestly, written by marketers who've never so much as broken a sweat in a gym.
Well, other than perhaps having to hand their credit card over to cover the montly gym membership fee - have you seen how much it is to join a gym, these days?
The Definition Method makes my program look like something scribbled on the back of a fag packet, by way of presentation.
There's an intro video to his program, facebook support page, the e-book itself and while he's still got some left, a bonus toolkit, too.
You're more than welcome to follow my progress, here. I will keep the site updated as best as I can between work assignments.
But if you want to cut to the chase, check out the video on Martin's "Definition Method" website and take the training from the horse's mouth, as it were.
